¡Por fin estoy de vuelta en casa! Estoy tan feliz de estar aquí...¡extrañé mucho! Regresé llena de ideas nuevas y entusiasmo, y realmente estoy disfrutando mucho estar en casa con Ricardo y nuestra gatita... Encontré unas cosas lindas para compartirles :)

I'm finally back at home! I'm so happy to be here...I missed it so much! I came back full of new ideas and enthusiasm, and I'm really enjoying being here with Ricardo and our cat... I found some lovely things to share with you :)

I'm back!!

Hi there, lovely people! How's live treating you lately? I've been away for a looong time (2 weeks!), sorry bout that, I've been missing the blogland and you're comments a lot! But I have an excuse.... The first week, I injured my hand and couldn't wite in the computer, so no blogging...or crocheting!!! Can you imagine my frustration? But at the end it wasn't that bad since I used my way to much spare time to try out some new things I don't normally do, and you know what? I enjoyed it! Here's what I made in that first week...

¡Hola, hola a tod@s! ¿Como les trata la vida ultimamente? Yo he estado lejos del blog por mucho tiempo (2 semanas!), lo siento. ¡He extrañado el mundo bloguero y sus comentarios un montón! Pero tengo una excusa....La primer semana, me lastimé la mano y no podía escribir en la computadora, así que ni blog....¡¡ni crochet!! ¿Pueden imaginarse mi frustración? Pero bueno, al final no estuvo taan mal, pues usé mi excesivo tiempo libre para hacer algunas cosas nuevas que no suelo hacer. ¿Y saben qué? ¡Lo disfruté mucho! Aquí les muestro lo que hice en ésa primer semana...

1. I made this super easy handmade soap recipe by Fanny Harms. I read many other tutorials on how to do soap with the cold process before starting beacuse you have to use caustic lye and I had to be sure I wasn't doing something stupid!

1. Hice esta receta super fácil para hacer jabón casero de Fanny Harms. Leí varios tutoriales sobre cómo hacer jabón con el proceso frío antes de empezar porque hay que usar sosa caustica ¡y quería asegurarme de no hacer alguna estupidez!

2. I also made this extra quick citrus scrub by Adelyn Stone. Which turned out great and has made my skin a lot softer these days.

2. También hice este exfoliante super rápido de Adelyn Stone. Que por cierto salió muy bien y ha hecho mi piel más suave estos días.

3. And finally I did something I never do....Bake! I made this easy and yummy Apple cake recipe by Jutta of the Orgnized living solutions Blog. This was truely a surprise, it was delicious! I don't normally bake since I don't even have a propper oven, but I made this in my little toaster oven (which is the best toaster oven you can get, I've even made lasagna in there!) And I realized I really enjoy baking (specially if the result is in fact eatable, which I don't always achieve)

3. Por último, hice algo que nunca hago.....¡Hornear! Hice este fácil y rico pastel de manzana de Jutta del blog Organized living solutions. Éste sí que fue una sorpresa, ¡salió delicioso! Yo no suelo cocinar con mucho gusto, aunque lo hago, y mucho menos hornear porque ni siquiera tengo un horno de verdad. Pero hice esto en mi pequeño hornito tostador (que es el mejor hornito tostador que existe, ¡he hecho lasagna ahí!) Me dí cuenta que hacer pasteles me gusta mucho (especialmente si el resultado es de hecho comestible, lo que no siempre consigo.)

Ok, this was the first week, the second week I was running like crazy finishing the organization of the Wonders Market of this month, which took place this weekend. It was a bit difficult cause there's a big teachers strike and they're camping in the whole center of the city so walking round there is a true mess. This made it hard for some people  to come and see us this weekend, but still we had a good time, and our faithful custumers made it through the tents! :)

Ok, esto fue la primer semana, la segunda estuve corriendo como la loca para terminar con la organización del Mercado Maravillas de este mes, que fue el fin de semana. Fue un poco difícil porque hay una gran huelga de maestros (si estás en México, seguro has vito en las noticias) y están acampando en todo el centro de la ciudad, así que caminar por ahí es un verdadero desastre. Esto hice que fuera medio difícil para las personas ir a vernos, pero de cualquier modo la pasamos bien, y nuestros clientes más fieles fueron, ¡aún sorteando las tiendas de campaña! :)

Embroidery happiness/ Felicidad de bordado

¡¡Hola!! ¡Estoy feliz! ¡¡Hoy llegó mi bordado del intercambio de Wild Olive Stitch Swap!! Realmente me parece increíble que tanta gente haya bordado algo para un completo desconocido y que lo haya enviado hasta su casa....Estoy contenta de que por fin llegó el mío...y adivinen qué....está inspirado en Mimiri....¡GRACIAS ELLYN!

Hi there!! I'm so happy! Today I recieved my embroidery swap from the Wild Olive Stitch Swap!!! I really find it amazing that so many people just stitched something for a complete stranger and mailed it to wherever that stranger lives....I'm glad I finally recieved mine...and guess what...it's Mimiri inspired...THANK YOU ELLYN!

Ahora cuelga en la esquina especial donde a Mimiri le gusta dormir...tiene una canasta calientita y esas son las paredes oficiales de la casa para el "amor al gato"...¡Me gusta tanto mi intercambio! Se siente bonito recibir algo que fue especialmente hecho para ti...además amo el correo tradicional.

It now hangs in the special corner where Mimiri likes to sleep...she has a cozy basket and those are the official cat love walls at home...I like my swap so much!! It's a lovely feeling to recieve something made specially for you, besides... I really love traditional mail.

Por cierto ya nunca les enseñé como se fue finalmente el mío...Aquí está...envié un dulce mexicano también.

By the way I never showed you how mine finally went off... This is it....I sent a mexican candy too! 

Ay estoy impaciente por saber si llegó sano y salvo a su destino...espero que la chica que me tocó suba una foto en nuestro grupo de flickr....Lo envié desde el 21 o algo así, yo creo que ya llegó...

Oh I'm impatient to know if it arrived savely at it's destination...hope my swapie posts a pic in our flickr pool... I sent it since the 21st or something like that so I think it arrived already...

Y tengo más buenas noticias...¡¡¡Mi página de facebook llegó a los 100 likes!!! ¡¡Por fin tendremos esa GRAN RIFA!! ¡Empezará mañana así que estén pendientes!

Otro mes que se va volando /Another month that flies by

¡Mis quedirdisim@s! Estoy feliz a pesar de que tengo gripa y cansancio.... La segunda puesta del Mercado Maravillas salió muy bien, poco a poco vamos aprendiendo más sobre organizar este tipo de eventos, en la semana les compartiré algunas fotos....Por ahora, escribo este post rapidito...porque dicen que más vale tarde que nunca...les dejo con mi mosaico del mes de marzo, otro mes que se me fue volando.


My dearest! I'm happy though I've got a flu and I'm really tired...The second Wonders Market went fine!, we're learning how to do this kind of events little by little, I'll post some photos over the week...For now, I just write this quick post...they say better late than never...so I leave you with mi monthly mosaic for march, another month that flew by.

Hola! Como podrán haber notado en la columna lateral de mi blog, estoy en el Wild Olive's Stitch Swap. Todas estamos enviando bordados por correo a todo el mundo. El mío está terminado y lo voy a enviar mañana porque hoy es día festivo en México y la oficina de correos está cerrada. No soy realmente una bordadora pero me encanta hacerlo y me divertí mucho haciendo esto. Mi pareja (a la que me toca enviarle) es una amante de las artesanías y supongo que el bordado está hasta arriba en la lista, así que esto es lo que hice para ella...

Hello! As you may have noticed in my sidebar, i'm in Wild Olive's Stitch Swap. We are all sending happy embroidery mail arround the world. Mine is done and I'm sending it tomorrow since today's a holiday in Mexico and the post office is closed! I'm not really an embroiderer but I love to stitch and I had a lot of fun doing this. My partner is a crafts lover and I'm guessing embroidery is at the top of the list, so this is what I've prepared for her...
