My first lapghan / Mi primera manta

¡Hola a tod@s! ¿Como andan? Yo tuve una semana medio ocupada (abril ha estado loco)...¡pero hoy por fin tuve tiempo de tomar unas fotos y escribir! ¡Estoy feliz! He extrañado escribir más seguido, espero que la siguiente semana esté un poco más relajada.

Hello everybody! How you doing? I had a busy week (april has been a crazy month)...but today I finally got the time to take some pics and write! I'm so happy! I've been missing posting often, I hope next week will be a little bit more relaxed.

Hoy les quiero enseñar unas fotos de mi mantita en proceso, está creciendo muy poco a poquito pero me está gustando mucho, especialmente los colores. Ya les había enseñado mi inicio en este post. Es la primer manta que hago, normalmente hago proyectos más cortos, joyería y cosas así...pero sentí que ya era tiempo de que intentara una manta...

Today I wanna show you some photos of my lapghan process, it's been growing very slowly but I'm loving it, specially the colors. I showed you my start in this post. It's the first lapghan I make, I usally do quicker proyects,  jewelry and stuff like that...but it was time for me to try a lapghan...

Como podrán ver, mi manta aún está bastante pequeñita...Estoy uniendo los cuadrados en zig zag pero todavía no llego a la mitad, aún tengo que unir como 4 lineas más para empezar a decrecer el número de cuadritos.

As you can see my lapghan is still quite small... I'm doing a zig zag joining and I haven't reached the middle yet, I still need to join 4 more rows and then I'll start decreasing the number of squares.

Mimiri andaba por ahí así que esto terminó convirtiéndose en una sesión fotográfica gatuna también...

Mimiri was there, so it kinda became a cat photoshooting aswell...

A Mimiri parece que le gusta...estaba ahí muy agusto echadota junto a la manta....

Miren ese bostezo por favor!

Mimiri seems to like it...she was very pleased lying there next to the lapghan...

Look at that yawning please! 

Es un poco asustador, ¿no? Parece una pequeña gata vampiro con esos colmillos...¿Ya les había dicho que Ricardo le dice el gaturciélago o batcat? Dice que parece murciélago...Yo digo que está bien linda ¿no lo creen? No había aparecido en los posts ultimamente así que por favor aguanten mi lapsus de adoración al gato.

It's a bit frightening, isn't it? She looks like a little vampire cat with those teeth...have I told you that Ricardo calls her batcat? He says she looks like a bat....I think she looks lovely...doesn't she? She hadn't appeared in the blog lately so please bear with my cat worshiping lapsus.

Bueno, me tengo que ir. Por cierto la buena noticia de que haya estado ocupada esta semana es que alargué la rifa hasta el próximo martes 24, así que todavía pueden participar. Otro mes que se va volando /Another month that flies by

¡Mis quedirdisim@s! Estoy feliz a pesar de que tengo gripa y cansancio.... La segunda puesta del Mercado Maravillas salió muy bien, poco a poco vamos aprendiendo más sobre organizar este tipo de eventos, en la semana les compartiré algunas fotos....Por ahora, escribo este post rapidito...porque dicen que más vale tarde que nunca...les dejo con mi mosaico del mes de marzo, otro mes que se me fue volando.


My dearest! I'm happy though I've got a flu and I'm really tired...The second Wonders Market went fine!, we're learning how to do this kind of events little by little, I'll post some photos over the week...For now, I just write this quick post...they say better late than never...so I leave you with mi monthly mosaic for march, another month that flew by.

Granny square love!

Hola hola, bueno, primero quiero pedirles una disculpa si esta semana tuvieron problemas para entrar al blog, fue una locura y algunos días no se podía acceder. Pero ahora ya está todo arreglado al parecer. Hoy es día de granny squares....

Hi there, well first of all I wanna apologize if you had problems entering the blog this week, it was a mess and some days you couln't get access. But now it has all return to normal, or at least it seems. Today is gonna be about granny squares....

Quiero mostrarles 2 proyectos con granny squares, primero dos cubiertas de almohadas. Todavía no se como voy a resolver la parte de atrás y me falta hacer las orillas, pero me están gustando mucho. Me han costado, la verdad han avanzado muy lento, pero ahí van....

I wanna show you 2 projects with granny squares, first two cushion covers. I still don't know how I'm gonna do the back and I need to do the endings too, but I'm liking them a lot. Although I must tell you they have been growing very slowly, but here they are...

Aparte acabo de empezar una manta, ésta con el granny square que tiene círculo en medio...Me está encantando, sobre todo los colores.

Apart from those, I've just started a lapghan, this with the ganny square that has a circle in the middle...I'm lovin it, specially the colors...

Aún no se de que tamaño va a ser exactamente pero creo que relativamente chica. Estoy uniendo conforme voy porque si no luego la parte de unir se me hace interminable.

I don't know what the exact size will be yet,  but I think relatively small. I'm joining as I go because if not the joining part seems endless to me.

Ahí va, paso a pasito....

Bueno, les dejo que me quiero ir a seguir con la manta (cusan adicción de verdad; si no pregúntenle a Antara de Buscando Comienzos, ella sí que se entretiene con las mantas, además le salen hermosas, visítenla y verán.) 

Well, I leave you cause I wanna keep track of my lapghan (they're adictive, truely, just ask Antara from Buscando Comienzos, she really does amuse herself with afghans... besides, they turn out beautiful, pay her a visit and you'll see.)

A Granny a day/ Un Granny al día

Para intensificar mi ya de por sí abrumadora y compulsiva producción de crochet; me uní a un grupo en Ravelry llamado Un Granny al día 2012....El grupo tiene hasta el momento 95 personas; uy es muy reconfortante saber que hay al menos otras 94 personas seriamente obsesionadas como para tejer un granny square (cuadrado de abuelita) al día durante todo un año...Me siento como pez en el agua... Aquí está mi primero.

To enhance my already overwhelming and compulsive crocheting, I entered a Ravelry group called A Granny a day 2012...The group has 95 members till now; it's very recomforting to know there are at least other 94 severely obsessed people who are willing to crochet a granny square per day for a whole year...I'm in my element...Here is my firt one...

Empecé con febrero así que todavía tengo pocos cuadritos...al principio quería emparejarme con enero pero creo que es demasiado...tal vez lo haga después, uno nunca sabe hasta dónde lo puede llevar la compulsión. Por ahora ya tengo mis primeros 6 cuadritos...

I started on februray so I'm still a bit short on grannys...at first I wanted to catch up with january but soon I realised it would be to much....maybe i'll do it later, who knows where compulsiveness might take you. For now I have my first 6 granny squares...

Todavía no se que hacer con ellos, primero pensaba en una cobija pero después se me ocurrieron unos cojines, no se, me decidiré pronto, espero, para poder empezar a unirlos...

I still don´t know what I'll do with them, at first I thought of an afghan but then I was thinking maybe some cushions....I don't know, I'll figure it out soon I hope, so I can start joining them..

Bueno, es hora de que me vaya, mi codependiente gata necesita ser alimentada...por cierto les manda saludos!
