How to use a coupon code on Etsy

¡Hola! Como algunas me han dicho que no saben cómo usar un cupón en Etsy les preparé un veloz tutorial. Primero, después de que hayan escogido un artículo para comprarlo verán una pantalla como está de abajp. En la columna de la derecha hay una frase en azul que dice "Apply shop coupn code". Hagan click ahí.

Hi! Some of you have told me that you don't know how to use a coupon code on Etsy. I have prepared a quick tutorial for you. First, when you have chosen an item to buy you'll see a window like this one below. In the right column there is a blue sentence that says "Apply shop coupon code", click on that.

 Entonces saldrá un espacio para escribir el nombre del cupón.

A space to write the coupon code will appear.

Ahí escriben el cupón y dan click en el botón gris de abajo que dice "Apply". Entonces verán que se hace el descuento en su cuenta, ya pueden hacer click en el botón verde grande de abajo para hacer la compra.¡Es o es todo!

Write your coupon code there and click the grey button below that says "Apply". Then you'll see your discount on your bill. Now you are ready to click the green button below to make your purchase. That's it!

Craft Party time!

Hi there! How are you doing? I'm ace, wonderful things are going on in my life...I'll be letting you know all of them soon....But first, this friday 24th Etsy was having a craft party, it happened all around the globe, all the events were organized by etsy sellers, and the point was to meet up and do some crafts!  Of course, we had our own mini craft party here in Oaxaca, Mexico. I have to give you a review, we had such a great time!

¡Hola! ¿Cómo les va? A mi muy bien, cosas maravillosas están sucediendo en mi vida...se las haré saber todas pronto. Pero primero, este viernes 24 Etsy organizó una fiesta, una "craft party". Sucedió en muchas partes del mundo, todos los eventos los organizaron vendedores de Etsy y se trataba básicamente de juntarse y hacer alguna manualidad. Obviamente, hicimos nuestra propia mini craft party aquí en Oaxaca, México. ¡Les tengo que hacer un resumen, nos la pasamos tan bien!

First, we did a bit of  party decoration...

Then we did a bit of "Frida makeup"...

and finally started with the crafting part....

we just continued to party...

simplemente seguimos con la fiesta...

until the night came in...

hasta que cayó la noche...

...and we all went home.

...y nos fuimos todos a casa.

Christmas in July!

¡Hola, hola! Pues hoy les tengo un par de buenas noticias. Primero, en Etsy hay algo que se llama Christmas in July, es decir Navidad en julio, y básicamente se trata de hacer ofertones en el mes de julio. Y yo como acabo de empezar con la tienda en Etsy y no me pienso quedar atrás, ¡estoy ofreciendo 10% DE DESCUENTO en toda la tienda hasta el 31 de julio!

Hi there! Today I have a couple of good news. First, there is something going on in Etsy called Christmas in July, it's a sale which consists basically in shop owners offering discounts or free shippings! As I have just opened my Esty shop and don't wanna be left behind, I'll be offering 10% OFF in the whole store till July 31!!

La otra buena nueva es ¡que me voy a la playa! Oh sí, me voy a ver el mar y a mis padres que viven en la costa caribeña, a unos 20 min de Cancún, ya verán qué lugar más maravilloso... ¿Por que no se creerán que voy a dejar de bloguear, verdad? ¡No!, antes muerta que sencilla y que abandonar mi blog. Seguiré manteniendo el blog y la tienda de manera normal, como voy a estar en casa de mis padres puedo hacer envíos desde ahí sin problema. Además les escribiré con vista al mar, qué rico. El sábado me voy a la Ciudad de México y el martes vuelo a Cancún. Así que tal vez regrese hasta el miércoles al blog, sólo voy a estar al pendiente de la tienda en estos días.

The other good news is that I'm going to the beach!! Oh yeah! I'm going to see the ocean and my parents who live in the caribbean seashore, about 20min away from Cancun, you'll see what a lovely place... Cause you're not thinking I'm leaving my blog, are you? No way! I'll keep the blog and the shop running, and as I'm going to be at my parents house I can still make shippings without any trouble. Besides, I'll write you with an ocean view, how wonderful. I leave to Mexico City on saturday and to Cancun on tuesday, so I'll might be away from the blog till wednesday, I'm only gonna check on the shop these days.

Lo único malo de esto es que me voy solita y extrañaré mucho a mi querido Ricardo y mi adorada Mimiringa, espero que sobrevivan....Mimiri tiene un gran instinto, me tiene sin ciudado, pero Richard....jajaja Ay, me hubiera gustado llevármelos a los dos pero no se pudo :(

The only bad thing about all this is that I'm travelling alone, I'm gonna miss my lovely Ricardo and my adorable Mimiringa a lot. I hope they survive....Mimiri has a great instict, I don't worry about her but Richard.....haha I wish they'd have come along  with me but we couldn't...:(

Hoy tengo pocas palabras en realidad, nada más voy a mostrarles un anillo nuevo. A ver qué opinan... Los puntos cafés son bordados, la base es de pewter y es ajustable así que le queda a cualquiera.

Neon, neon, neon!

Hello lovely people! How are you doing today? I wanna show you my latest necklace, The Neon Dots Necklace....I have a bit of a neon osession lately...


¡Hola! ¿Cómo les trata la vida hoy? Yo quiero enseñarles mi último collar, el Collar de Lunares Neon (¿?).....Últimamente tengo una leve obsesión por los colores fosforescentes (neon).

The black part is crocheted with cotton yarn

La parte negra es crochet, y está hecha con hilaza de algodón.

And the dots are little neon pompons... :)!

¡Y los lunares son pequeños pompones fosforescentes.... :)!

I did some homemade pompons aswell, bigger ones, check out this tutorial to learn how...

También hice unos pompones caseros, más grandes, checa este tutorial para aprender cómo hacerlos...

Unfortunately the photos aren't the best, I'm hoping to change them soon...

I've already made some more necklaces with other neon colors, and I'm making earings aswell...hope to take photos this week to show you.

Hello my friends! I'm super happy today, even though I had to get a blood test, which isn't a very pleasant activity.... But I'm thrilled to tell you this is my post # 50 !! That was may....

Hi! Well, I bring you my may mosaic as promised...
¡Hola! Pues como lo prometido es deuda...acá está mi mosaico del mes de mayo...

I didn't write much in may since I was absent for those 2 weeks, but still i had enough photos to do my mosaic. By the way, I wanna show you now two necklaces from my Etsy shop I didn't show you before that I listed in may.

En mayo no escribí tanto, por aquello de que me ausenté 2 semanas, pero bueno, de todos modos hubo fotos para el mosaico. Por cierto que ahora les quiero publicar otros dos collares de mi tienda en Etsy que nunca les enseñé pero que subí en mayo.

First, this beige and grey necklace done with a 100% cotton yarn (you know it's my favorite)

Primero este collar beige con gris oscuro de estambre 100% algodón (ya saben que es mi favorito)

I hope you like it, I love doing this "loops", I started doing this style since I started crocheting necklaces. The next necklace I wanna show you is almost a choker, or a collar...also 100% cotton yarn. I think these two necklaces are gonaa be unique pieces since I didn't write the pattern down, I was just crocheting and I didn't make any notes to write the pattern later as I usally do, so....I don't think I can reproduce them, I mean, not exactly the same, specially the second one....but well, here it goes...

Espero que les guste, a mí me encanta hacer este tipo de "hoyitos", desde que empecé con los collares hice este estilo...y el que sigue es un collar, casi una gargantilla, también con 100% algodón, éstos dos creo que serán piezas únicas porque no me puse a apuntar el patrón, lo fui haciendo mientras tejía y me seguí sin anotaciones; sobretodo el segundo dudo poder repetirlo tal cual....pero bueno, aquí les va...

I used light grey, dark grey, salmon pink and purple.

Bueno, lleva gris claro, oscuro, salmón y morado oscuro.

It closes with two wooden buttons, this doesn't have a base necklace like the other one, it's just crochet.

Se cierra con dos botones de madera como pueden ver, este no tiene un collar base como el anterior, es totalmente tejido.

Well, I have to go now, I hope you've liked them....I'm recovering my Upcycling Friday Post for upcycling ideas and DIYs by the way. I already chose the ones for this friday!!
